Shoe Goo: possibly the most important accessory for the hardcore snowboarder

Chuck Taylor Signature Model
First off, if you haven't heard of Shoe Goo, familiarize yourself. It is fantastic. Aside from the actual necessary hard and soft goods, this is one of the best things a hardcore snowboarder on a budget can buy. For 10 bucks and a little effort you can get an extra season out of your boots. Originally made for tennis shoes and eventually picked up by skaters everywhere, it is essentially squeezable rubber that can be used to rebuild your soles, protect your uppers, glue nearly anything, fix the grips on your bike, or any other use you can possibly dream up. Of course, first that means you have to wrap your head around the idea that new gear every season isn't necessary, not to mention wasteful. Now while you chew on that, I'm going to get started on my new insulation by shoe-gooing all our empty beer cans to the roof.
